Because mum and dad are visiting we made a special mid week trip over to Waiheke island. We've been having our first real days of warm weather in Auckland and this day was just perfect, really warm and sunny.
After the ferry over to the island we took a bus trip that gave us a nice overview of the main part of the island. Then we hopped off the bus for lunch at Wild on Waiheke, a winery with a great relaxed outdoor dining area and great food. Drew had a wonderful time chasing the ducks around.

After lunch we took the bus to a beach and went for a swim, our first in NZ!
Then it was another bus ride and a ferry home, Drew was such a good boy and even had a good sleep in the carrier on the way home xx
