Week 4 already!!
The weather has been really wonderful for the last few days, and we made the most of it this weekend! On Saturday there was a (big!) first birthday party for our housemates grand daughter at out house, so we escaped for a while and had a lovely lunch with my supervisor and her family who live just down the road.
On Sunday we went to Ambury Farm reserve, a big patch of land set aside for bird conservation and an urban farm where families can go see cows milked, sheep shawn and chickens lay eggs! I love the idea of kids getting to see where their food comes from, and it is such a beautiful spot.
We arrived early and had the foreshore walk to ourselves (well... apart from all the sheep!)

Drew was asleep for most of the foreshore walk, but luckily he woke up in time for the farm yard animals
I'm not quite sure if he knows what animals are just yet but he definitely enjoyed getting up close to the rabbits and chasing the local bird life!
